This service is for long haired dogs only- for example spaniels, lhasa apso, shih tzu, yorkie, doodles, dogs that usually get full grooms that include clipping the coat, and this works well between grooming appointments to make that fresh haircut last longer

initial session- your dog gets their own ultrasonic brush head, and we’ll share some tips and tricks to help keep their teeth in good shape. teeth cleaned using a silent, vibration-free ultrasonic toothbrush designed to minimize plaque and bacteria, promoting a healthier and cleaner mouth for your pet- this service is recommended by a lot of vets to help prevent dental diseases as well as bad breath.

Matting

If your dog is matted, I will always attempt to save the coat where possible. However, depending on the severity of the matting, it may be necessary to shave the affected areas. This is always a last resort, as heavy matting causes additional wear to grooming equipment.

In line with the Animal Welfare Act, it would be considered cruel to demat a dog for longer than 10 minutes, so dematting beyond this point will not be carried out.

Both dematting and shaving out matts require extra time and put additional strain on equipment. For this reason, an additional charge will apply.

Safety Disclaimer
When matts are shaved from areas such as the ears, it is common for dogs to shake their heads excessively, which can lead to ear hematomas. Matts that are tight to the skin also carry a risk of minor nicks or cuts. While every care is taken to minimise risk, I cannot be held responsible for these issues. Any veterinary treatment required will be at the owner’s expense.

By booking your dog in for any service, you agree to this policy. If your dog is matted, please ensure you select the appropriate matted coat service when booking. This allows me to plan sufficient time so your dog’s appointment can be completed safely and without interruption.

Booking Policies- by booking you agree to the following:

Dogs showing aggressive/unsafe behaviour may be charged an extra handling fee up to £20 depending on severity- this accounts for the risk involved, additional help from another groomer, and any extra time this may need. Grooms may be modified, incomplete, or stopped if they can’t be done safely.

All instances of matting will incur a fee starting at £10, which reflects the extra time and wear on our equipment. Please see "matting" service in "extras" for further information on this policy.
